Circle the Cat

R sent me an email a few days ago with a link to a Halloween game and I finally got a chance to look at it a few minutes ago. I then proceeded to spend the past 10 minutes trying to beat it. It was frustrating figuring it out, but I finally did after probably 25 attempts. Click here to play.

There's a similar game on the iPhone called CatchaMouse. It's not as difficult though. I played until level 14 before I got bored of it.

Let's Bowl

There's a man, Floyd Burns, in Mesa who is turning 80 years old today. He plans on bowling 80 consecutive games. This is his third time bowling his age in games to celebrate his birthday. KVOA news said, "When he turned 77, Burns bowled 77 games in 12 hours, 32 minutes. His average score was 164. At 78, he bowled 78 games in 12 hours, 20 minutes - earning a score of 214 on his 78th game." Burns says he'll start bowling at 8 a.m. and bowl 10 games at a time on two lanes. He'll also bring along his five bowling balls.

And this is why I love old people. They're so cute. There's an old man who bowls on the league next to mine on Thursdays and he's really good. He bowls really slow and he doesn't have much strength, but his technique must be good because he almost always gets the spare (I've never actually seen him get a strike). I tried to take a picture of him once, but I didn't want to be awkward. I did high five him a few times though.

That's some stamina for an 80 year old. I cannot imagine bowling for 12 hours straight. When I bowl on my league (Team Shih Rex & Co.--currently in first place!) every Thursday, I am pretty beat afterwards and that's only three games. When I bowl for fun, I get tired and bored after 5 or 6 games. Anyways, here are pictures of my shoes and ball. I do want a new ball though. Mines about 4 years old and has many dents and cracks in it

My Goddaughter Turns Two!

I feel kind of weird to be posting personal photos of people, seeing as I rarely (if ever yet) post pictures of myself, besides that one profile picture to the left, but seeing as she is so adorable, I just can't help it.

I got her a Disney Princess Tricycle and she had fun being pushed around on it at her party. Her legs are a little too short to pedal, but she's growing so fast, that I'm sure she'll be able to ride soon enough.

Why You Can't See Harry Potter in Imax This Week

N was telling me today that she could not find any showings of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on IMAX and so I had to tell her the reason for the delay. And then decided to share it here since I'm sure some of you, like me, are big HP fans!

Harry Potter
has to wait until Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is done showing at the IMAX before they can have their premiere there. For this weeks release of the movie, there will only be two IMAX locations (New York City and Los Angeles) that Harry Potter will be shown.

So if you want to catch it on the IMAX, wait two weeks. I'll probably just see a regular showing- hopefully Tuesday at midnight if I can find someone to go with me!

Obie Face

My sister has been at home the past few days in between school and work. The best part about it- she brought Obie with her!

I took him swimming yesterday and it was so cute. He looks like a little teddy bear.

Squash!

That is the squash from the garden T and I built together. I'm so proud of him for getting it to be so big! I can't wait to eat it! I must confess, besides building the box together and putting in the soil, I have done nothing to help the plants grow. Partially because I don't live in Tucson, but partially when I'm in Tucson, I'm too lazy and it's too hot to stand outside and be bothered by it.

The garden is looking really good though. I will post more picture the next time I'm down in Tucson which won't be for a month or so though...

No Blogs Today, Too Busy Playing

Restaurant City!! Just taking a break to quickly apologize for lack of blogging right now. I'm obsessed with Restaurant City on facebook. It's so much fun! Except now I'm starting to have trouble with it staying connected, which is irritating. It was fine all morning so ahh!

Another One Bites The Dust

I was looking for my keys to run an errand for work and so I looked in my purse:

And this was what I found:

Sad, especially since my eyes have been bothering me for the past two days. You would think working somewhere where ophthalmologist are our most popular clients, one of them would give me a freebie Lasik surgery. My boss said he's working on it. I guess I could just do this for awhile...

Obie Gnocchi Turns One

Today is Obie's first birthday! We haven't had him for a whole year (our gotcha date is June 7), but in this past year, he has been a very good puppy. And I love and miss him. If only I could steal him back from my sister.

These photos are in chronological order, so you can see his many looks from different haircuts.

He's so cute!

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo reminds me of St. Patty's Day. A holiday for all us Americans to just get wasted, but instead of drinking pints of beer, we drink tequila and margaritas. But, let us thank the Mexican army for beating the French army on May 5th so that the people have a reason to "celebrate" and can get drunk tonight. I do remember reading on Wikipedia a few years ago that there is one city in Mexico that does celebrate today, but the celebration is really just voluntary.

T sent this to me probably a year ago. In light of "celebrating" the Mexican culture, here is a love song:

Office Doors

My male boss just got back from a business trip and decided he needed to change his shirt in his office. Meanwhile, I'm walking down the hall to hand him a contract. This is what our office doors look like:

His shirt was not completely off, but it was not a pretty sight. And slightly awkward.

New Apple Products

Rumor has it, Apple is developing a deal with Verizon to release two new Verizon-exclusive iPhone-like products this summer.

One of the device, PCWorld says is suppose to be the closest thing we'll ever get to the iPhone Nano- basically a cheaper and smaller version of the iPhone. It is currently being called the iPhone Lite.

The other device si being called a Media Pad (pictured above) and it is suppose to have the same function of an iPod Touch, but it will also have HD video and calling abilities via Wi-Fi. It is suppose to compete with the Amazon Kindle 2, but it will be better because it has a larger screen and more functions.

Pretty cool stuff. I already have an iPhone and I love it. I don't think I need any of the new products, unless the iPhone Lite is smaller and more functional. But I don't want to switch to Verizon. I thought Microsoft was coming out with a media pad like product as well. Or a tabletop desktop thing. My friend works for a tech company and I thought I had saw a demo product of it in his office, but I didn't hear anything else about it. Oh technology, whatever would we do with out it. I can't wait until Apple comes out with the new software for the phone.

This is why I have not been blogging as much. My desk is in a constant mess of papers everywhere and my eyes get tired from staring at Excel spreadsheets. I will go back to three or four posts a day as soon as it calms down a bit. And I mean real posts, not just youtube videos. :)

No Blogging Today

Not feeling it or didn't feel it. Wrote two separate blogs to post but deleted them. Not in the mood I suppose. Been getting these heart pains around 2:00pm every day at work until 5:30pm-6ish for the past four days in a row. It's what I imagine a small heart attack would feel like. Blah.
